The river, tainted with time. Change. With the forgotten memories of all who did or did not conquer her origins.

Spring(, a perfect name.)ing from the forest floor is new life. New opportunity.

Though, death is the cost; Beauty, Vibrance, is the reward.

The river flows, regardless. Even faster than before. For, her headwaters are fueling her.

Wind blows and tree tips topple. But the river, she flows, regardless.

The sun may be intense - too intense at times. But, the river, she flows regardless.

From all she can, she collects. From the mountain, much greater than her.

From her headwaters, down, she must dredge on. The river, she flows, regardless.

The sun may set.

The leaves, may fall.

The shadows may cast.

Pines, her family that shield her, stand tall.

But, the river, she knows, that she must flow.

Provide, she tries, from runoff to ice-off, for all who call her home.
